I hate this so much...the ONLY thing that interests me is the height sliders and Sims having accents which are totally features we should have gotten at some point in the Sims 4 tbh.

The gameplay just screams mobile gaming for grinding with microtransactions possibly lining up for development.

This "art style" they put out for play testing, it looks ... severely unfinished. The textures are flat and really primitively rendered. Also BLACK AND WHITE speech bubbles? Excuse me we have left that in Sims 1 since 2003.

And what’s goofy to me about the whole thrift shop thing in the sims is they harp on it meanwhile the basic retail aspect is underwhelming and could have been a whole expansion pack in itself. They should have focused on improving the shopping experience for Sims 4 not this random stuff nobody wants 😢

What I don't understand how does EA want to compete with Paralives, INZOI and the upcoming game in the works by Midsummer Studios in the future? The new management is drifting far too much away from that what Sims truly is. Especially after they decided the Sims 4 is going to stay for an unknown time and they will keep adding content. How in the world will they add Colorwheel, Open World etc. on a broken old foundation? They will never add all the features we want for a next Gen into Sims 4. They replaced silently Lindsay with a new General Manager. Obviously all major people who made Sims big are more or less gone. The current management doesn't understand our community at all. I won't play the next SIMS Gen or Title by EA unless I see that I really get what I want "The best features from TS2 (Gameplay/Worlds), TS3 (Open World, Colorwheel) and TS4 (CAS/BUY/BUILD). I'm not interested in mobile or online versions but I want my Single Player World - If this is not available? Luckily we got finally competitors and options.

I WANT to see evidence of the EA/Sims team conducting research and tests on real gamers and taking their feedback into account. I unfortunately do not trust them anymore and I need that transparency!

Sims 2 & Sims 3 was wayyy better than Sims 4.... it's sad I've been playing this game since I was 10 from the original Sims ect...
They have murdered it....
Why is Sims 2 & Sims 3 more advanced than the current Sims 4? Why is the newest project whatever, even worse? Ever since maxis sold out to EA, it's been steadily going down hill via quality. EA has destroyed it...they should stick with madden football ect... maxis should have never sold out.

Still, it won't effect me.
I'm a chaos gamer, which is why Sims 1, 2 & 3 are all I play.
4 & Rene are just too unexciting for me.

I played The Sims Online, the first attempt at an MMO, like 20 years ago. It's considered largely a failure, but it wasn't entirely. There were players who were able to innovate, design beautiful and unique lots to visit, and had the social skills and genuine charisma to host a lot well, make people feel welcome and included.

If this game attracts that caliber of player, it could be something. But that probably won't be the case; it'll be a lot of loud young girls screeching about how cute everything is, and man, I'm too old for that.
