Władysław Szlengel, later known as the most popular poet of the ghetto, wrote polish lyrics to famous German tango “Tango Notturno”, which was performed by polish-born Pola Negri in 1937 in the film with the same title. Pola Negri was the polish, first Hollywood femme fatale, beloved of Rudolph Valentino.
