Well done on the progress. I do marvel at the materials going into the build - knowing the cost of general materials I've used in my little workshop conversio, even screws and bolts. Nice clean medium to be working with all that lovely timber and well done for using UK timber.

I cannot believe the work that you guys have done.
When I think of the jobs and projects that you did on your previous house. Especially the workshop build. Hope the little one is coming along nicely. And the boss is well too. 😁😇

Really enjoying the build videos. Tim really is some sort of superman! Have you got a target date for moving in/ completion?

Did you remember to give the joist hanger some adhesive?

Another great update. I took photos when landscaped the garden over 2 summers. Wish i did videos now. Ps. Think you missed a bolt. At 9'38 you added last joist and sure the nearest bolt wasnt screwed in?

Are you creating a dry services void and a wet services void? This is considered best practice in many built environments (NHS for example)

Is there a reason why you went with wooden I-joists over the metal web posi-joists? The posi joists should be even easier to run services, although I haven't seen anyone making walls out of them like you have with the I-joists! Would be interesting to hear about that in the next video you mentioned.

Are you using the I joists for larger spans only? And if so, what are the spans? What was your cut off for standard timber vs the engineered I joists? Thanks!

In regards to the noggings, do you not need them in for catching the plasterboard

You're bolting the horisontal beams to the main frame, are you bolting them through to pattress's on the other side?

Also, did you ever consider using glue in the structure? E.g. glue and nails for OSB on the studs for greater strength and rigidity?

I'm curious how you deal with all the penetration through the airtight OSB caused by nailing and bolting the ledger boards in place. You're taking so much care to seal all the joints and nails from the board installation.... But it looks like these new penetrations are neglected?

Piglet bites... I'll be keeping my eyes out for that video on the other channel. I wonder if, by now, all the sows have farrowed? Who won the bets?

Are you going to crawling boards down or floor on that section of joists

When you fitted noggins to the I Beams you only attached them at the bottom. Is there not a risk of twist if the top of the I Beam is not supported?

Hi Tim, may I ask why you screwed the noggins rather than nailed them? Not a criticism, I am just keen to learn techniques. Thank you

Just wondering why you are not just doing vaulted ceilings in the rooms where the upstairs space in just going to be wasted. Yes you can use it for storage but vaulted ceilings would look better.
