In this video about upgrading our Power Wheels, sit back and relax as I take you on a quick overview of converting my daughter's 12v Power Wheels to Lithium power using two 4s Lipo batteries. Since the conversion I've been averaging about 2ah (2000mah) per mile. So with my two 5400mah batteries in parallel I can go about 5.5 miles on a single charge.

Just did the same conversion myself, ran with just one lipo for a while til i got bored and made a parallel harness. For the price of these ride ons they should come with lipo.

Would it be possible to do both parallel and series with the connections? I know you can make that type of connection with a DIY battery pack which doubles both voltage and Mah.

Do you know if it is safe to add more than 2 batteries in parallel? e.g. run 3-4 extra batteries using the extra empty space at the back and the front trunk compartment? Also, what is the recharging time on these Lithium Ion batteries, with the stock battery, the manual says 18 hours. Cheers!

Yeah, stuff a nice flamable towel in there below your child! Lipo not a great power source for kids toys, at least you need a integrated low power cut off.

I cannot see where $120 bucks plus wiring is saving the cost of a lead acid battery. I understand why you are going that route but holy man!

Lithium batteries burn the gears out of even the best motor I can find. Do not use Lithium batteries. They have a discharge rating 5x higher then SLA batteries. With no clutch to absorb all of that extra punch the motors and gears will fail.
