Toyota Yaris Gearbox Noise, Worn Bearing

Easy fix with the gearbox still in the vehicle, buy the 2 bearings and the lock nut and pull of the end cover... Takes 45mins tops, just did mine today. It's a very common fault and the parts is of the shelf at Toyota dealerships, remember to buy Toyotas silicone gasket otherwise it can get caught up in the syncromesh and cause a lot of trouble, then there no other way than to pull the entire box of and rebuild

This was after 200 thousand miles, its fairly costly as the gearbox needs tobe removed, year is 2008

Hi mate my gearbox is making a loud knock when I pull off and changing low gears but not in reverse do you know if its my gearbox or could a clutch making a loud noise

What causes this? Can't find answers anywhere.

This is confusing as F (as a non mechanic) to google the problem- Here is my issue: Sitting idling... When i have the clutch pedal pushed to the ground the noise goes away- When i release it the car sounds whirring rough- putting your ear to the gearstick and thats where the 'whir' noise come from... what the heck is it?? Rav4 2009 Manual, Diesel. 105k miles
Car drives ok and goes through gears ok, just getting more noisy each month when in idle.
