I think that the Sol Emeralds are actually gems that can connect with the soul of a person, thus why Blaze could restore Sonic’s memories, because the memories are still within the soul.
Before anyone says anything, the reason the Sol Emeralds have fire properties could be because they are connected to their guardians soul, and since blaze can control fire, they can emit fire energy. Burning Blaze could be a result of the Sol Emeralds tap into the core of Blaze’s soul and unlocks her true potential.
Given this idea, what if a different elemental user became the guardian of the Sol Emeralds? Would they start emitting a different elemental energy instead?

It’s frustrating how some people think Blaze is just copy female of Sonic which is definitely not true sure she is the user of the emeralds but that’s about it as stated in this video she is the guardian of them where as Sonic isn’t nor is he of royal of an empire. They have similar roles but are completely different from each other. But wow together they’re unstoppable. I love to play a main line game as Super Sonic and Burning Blaze together.
