Gaurav Gogoi won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Assam's Jorhat constituency, fending off the might of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who pulled out all stops to defeat the Congress leader. In this conversation with Political Editor DK Singh and Special Correspondent Sourav Roy Barman, Gogoi, the son of late Assam CM Tarun Gogoi, attributed the BJP's loss in three seats in Assam, and the subsequent voices of dissent from within its ranks, to Sarma's "autocratic" ways of functioning.
