Its important to know WHAT substance they want to mine. Even 3 miles away, tailings & airborne waste could be just as harmful as the extensive groundwater extraction.

I'm not confident that the way we monitor mining operations has kept pace with modern environmental standards. If jobs are at stake, there might a temptation to turn a blind eye if something slips.

I landed at Amsterdam airport in the Netherlands and, completely by mistake, walked around customs. Within seconds, Dutch police had me by both arms. We did resolve the matter.

Security isn’t taken lightly at bars and clubs so if you can’t handle it, don’t go out. Same if you have a job that has stationed guards at post. Please appreciate your fellow guardians for taking time out their day to make sure you are safe. This includes taking a nap. We do doubles, triples & split shifts. We get tired, and we overwatch a lot.
