Ambient Guitar Meditation 17-11 - Lamentations and Mourning (Boss SY-300 Guitar Synthesizer)

Although the title is sorrowful, the Boss SY-300 sounds on this piece are very pleasing. Based on a Jim O'Rourke patch I found in Boss Tone Central and then modified, synthesizer tones swirl around the main ambient guitar sound in odd tonalities, steps and timings.

you are about the only person on YouTube that is able to make the SY-300 not cheesy. I just bought one and I was a little worried, that most of the sounds; sound like "Ghostbusters". This sounds good. It's like it could be on a blackgaze album (like Alcest) all the way to a chillstep album (like Blackmill).

Much more pleasing than last week's vid for sure. The SY is great but it really needs to be tamed and used in the background for ambient stuff. I can see it being used with an Ebow or that Digitec FreQout that came out recently. Good stuff
