The poem that inspired this ambient guitar meditation:

Hymn to God the Father (John Donne)

Wilt thou forgive that sin where I begun,
Which was my sin, though it were done before?
Wilt thou forgive that sin, through which I run,
And do run still, though still I do deplore?
When thou hast done, thou hast not done,
For I have more.

Wilt thou forgive that sin which I have won
Others to sin, and made my sin their door?
Wilt thou forgive that sin which I did shun
A year or two, but wallow'd in, a score?
When thou hast done, thou hast not done,
For I have more.

I have a sin of fear, that when I have spun
My last thread, I shall perish on the shore;
But swear by thyself, that at my death thy Son
Shall shine as he shines now, and heretofore;
And, having done that, thou hast done;
I fear no more.

This single piece of music is the reason why I can work on my bachelor's dissertation. One of these days when I have the time, I will try my hand at looping it nicely so I won't have to press repeat all the time!
Thank you, so very much, for having created this.

Another great piece. The more I hear the Strymon DIG, the more I want to add one to my wind synth rig. I agree with Marvin. Make this piece an hour long, and it would still be too short. Love it.

I would love to see this piece on your upcoming album! It is one of those pieces that I inevitably keep going back to, as if it was comfort food for my brain. In any case, I am definitely looking forward to an entire album with so many new tunes! Good luck!

So lovely, hopeful, sad and wonderful at the same time. thats why i love instrumental music so much! ( giutars with effekts and stuff, ....and i am Guitarist in a postrock Band, too)
You can express so many feelings, without saying a single word.
I wish you luck with your work here on YouTube and health for you and your family.

Thank you

I was listening to this trying to fall asleep, but whenever it got to the part starting at, for example, 0:17, part of the tune and lyrics to Bruce Springsteen's "Sandy" started automatically playing in my head. Lyrics start somewhere after "Oh, Sandy, the aurora is rising behind us...." It's weird because I can't pin it down exactly, but the song keeps coming unbidden to my head when I'm listening to your ambient piece. I think I could play your piece along with it, and even though the notes don't match, they're part of a similar harmony, so it would fit right in. LOL

Just found your channel. Your music is very nice. I like to play a similar style although usually acoustic at the moment. You've inspired me to explore the electric further. Cheers from Canada.

Just beautiful work, brother. I was thinking it might be nice to do a meditative series of ambient music that is circular. Perhaps looping these lovely musings for an extended prayerful serenity-inducing montage... Beautiful stuff, indeed. perfect peace, Jimi
