Hey, welcome to Online For Love - your resource for online dating by the numbers. I’m Tyler, your certified online dating expert. Today, we’re going to compare two big dating sites: Hinge VS Bumble!

Bumble has been created by the former member of the Tinder creative team, and it is said to have revolutionized the online dating world.

Why is that?

It is an app created by a woman for a woman. Ladies are feeling empowered as they are the only ones allowed to take the first step.

If you are a proactive lady or a fellow who would like to take a step back from pursuing girls, this is the app for you!

Hinge, after its relaunch, has been mainly focused on connecting Millennials who desire a long-term relationship.

It uses various filters and feedback options to get you the best match.

It goes by the motto “Designed to be deleted” which means they are confident that you will find your perfect match by using Hinge.

Why would you need a dating app after you have found that special someone anyway?

Although the users of all the dating apps fall into three categories -those who want relationships, those who want friendships, and those who want a hookup – Bumble is considered more of a casual relationship dating app, contrary to Hinge.

Let’s break down the differences between these two apps, and decide which one is superior, Bumble or Hinge?

As a guy, Bumble does NOT have your best interests in mind. Bumble just works against the nature of online dating and is incredibly bias toward women and before you call me misogynistic, understand that there is logic to this.
Online dating as a guy is highly competitive, on any app, you need to look like a 7+ with amazingly good photos to get a steady rate of matches. I feel like this is a reachable goal for most men but even if you have this, once the match is made, Bumble removes a man's one shot ability to swoon a woman over for a chance at a date - the message. That first message is very important for men. It helps us stand out and allows us to create a fun, flirty and engaging interaction, especially in a way that might fancy her. Think about it, even a decently attractive woman with okay photos is going to get bombarded with with matches; so much so that she won't even know who to choose. Also once she has a few matches, why bother swiping for more? The chances of her even seeing your card are low do to this and like any normal person, she will cherry pick at the top and work her way down. Chances are, unless you're a Brad Pitt looking motherfucker, you're probably going to be, in a well populated area, number 10 or more in line and that's assuming you're looking dead handsome in some amazing photos. So while you might be a great match, she will likely end up dating someone ahead of you and then on top of all that, the match expires in 24 hours - and that's it, that match is gone forever - even if her date with man #1 sucked ass. It's a total fucking lottery with Bumble.

So yeah, Bumble is mostly useless unless you're an decently attractive woman or a 10/10 dude with insanely good pictures and insanely good luck. I'd only use it more of a supplement to Hinge, a sort of "You never know, maybe I'll hit that lottery" kind of thing and just throw it on the back burner. But yeah, Bumble sucks.

I tried Bumble, hinge and tinder, and liked the interface of bumble the best as hinge makes you may for most of the filters. I don't like the 24 hour thing with bumble though. Tinder was just terrible overall

Bumble has the best interface to me and would be perfect if you could see who liked you without having to pay. And also if you had the filter to filter ethnicity.

The best way to find someone is not to go online. Especially if you're male. Also don't try to date people at work.

I have been on both bumble and tinder. I hated it! I went on many dates but they all were horrible. Even if a guy seemed nice. I'm considering hinge sounds like people will be a bit more serious on there
