What do you think of daily reveals instead of traditional funding based stretch goals?

one of your best videos. Rulebook coverage highly appreciated.
I also read the rulebook and I mostly agree.

All of this is at least 20 - 30 % more expensive than it should be and they let the cat of the sack that the value won't get any better during the campaign. No thanks.

0. okay, the addons are ridiculous, nobody's going to play the rpg, and who cares about a cypher system for real - so let's just focus on the core box:

1. You can read the lore book for TB1 for free. It looks gorgeous but I found the lore less than interesting.
2. The idea of having minis is cool. The act of having to paint 70+ minis is an actual nightmare, and will cost you a month. A month where you could be playing. Also, it's not fair to say the minis lack detail: you clearly haven't painted a mini before. Most of the time you discover the details as you paint. But painting these practically begs zenithal priming to make the colors stand out, and for that you need a compressor otherwise you're spending a year priming them in white/black. Which costs about $300 and you won't be using it for anything after that (save another kickstarter with minis). After priming, you need copious amounts of blue and ternary colors. Good luck with doing that consistently. As I said, it's a month at least unless your daily job is painting.
3. The standees look fine, but you fell into the trap of wanting to introduce your younger sis and your family to such a cute, innocent-looking game. It is a bloody hardcore war game! People will feel cheated, give up and sell it off to secondary market. So know what you're getting yourself into.
4. The joined-maps is NOT something stolen from GH/JotL. It's far superior. Allows for many more game states. And there are 3 such books, so 20x20x20 in theory. In practice, I've seen a few other pages, many such pages are just variations of another map.
5. The monster AI is genius, but not what you would expect from the cover.
6. The offside monster health tracking is genius, but only works when you have numbered standees. I think they are numbered. Another argument against miniatures.
7.The tic-tac-toe skill activation system is very elegant and innovative. Also, the printed symbols that are not covered by cards, have an effect as well. I might just back TB2 for this system alone.
8. There is a little lore and incentive for the heroes to band together, just enough to make the game believable. However, the Arena mode makes no sense to me, if there is no gain in them.
9. The box looks efficiently organized, at least it's not the giant box from TB1.
10. Game setup is one of the most efficient of the recent kickstarters. This has become my major criterion: setting up a game after work has been just a bit too much to ask of lately, maybe I'm getting old, or maybe my job's too demanding. Not your problem though.
11. as for community, a healthy amount of Germans, mostly Americans, so no nationalism involved which is good.

For now, backed for $1 and see what happens. I can foresee fan-based scenarios in a few years. Won't be the first time...

I back a ton of kickstarter games. This one is overpriced, kind of like Agemonia was.
