My goodness. The Drop Safe mechanism looks pretty fun just by itself. Hope DJI is able to create a version of the Drop Safe for the Phantom and Inspire series.

Better option would be a self destruct mode by taping a dynamite stick to the drone to turn it to a pulp when there is a problem just like nasa rockets

the chute will not get caught in the propellers, since this design has an emergency stop of the propellers built in in case the parachute deploys! I think it is a great idea and certainly will help to save a few thousand dollars!
You will only ever need this if shit hits the fan - and if that happens while you got your BMPC attached to your S1000 it is going to be a lot of money without this system.

Why is there no in-flight test video ?
The idea has always been good, but how often does a heli just fall vertically from the sky? They usually fly away, flip, or stuff like that. I'd rather run the risk, than have a parachute go off at the wrong time.

Now that is one simple and very comprehensive parachute system. Ya just buy it, wrestle with it for a year or more then hopefully ya don't lose a freakin eye or arm on the setup table. WTF DJI?

Hey DJI Guys! Do you need to see how a simple parachute system works? Take a look at the chute system on the Hubsan X4 Pro 109s Low, Mid & High Edition ok. Yeah you can Biggy size it if need be but you dont have to be a damn engineer to install it. Yikes I am an Engineer and even I am saying DAMN!
If there is a scholarship available for me to go to the DJI DropSafe parachute installation school maybe I'll drop back by this thread and comment at a later time.

Yeah too rudimentary.. Problem one falls asleep after two seconds watching... Can´t these guys use a servo and trigger a 22 for launching??? Parachutes are when you phisically see the bird on an uncontrollable plunge..
