Gotta admit, the silly UFO picking up the cows animation got me. Especially when it came back and dumped them all back out lol

Wow I am super stoked that finally, FINALLY ! NASA are going to test a nuclear thermal rocket ! this is so long over due, but it is the start of serious propulsion systems, and it will, undoubtedly, impress us all and of course demonstrate that our solar system is within reach in months and not years ! I can't wait to see this thing go !

I actually had a meteor fly-by experience in 1965 in NJ. It was midday and this meteor was cruising through the atmosphere at the same speed as a commercial jet at 35, 000ft. It was difficult to estimate the altitude due to its size....HUGE, glowing red with mini crater pockets and pieces falling off as it flew by.

The light pollution facts are so depressing, and being an American (and not one of the lucky ones), I have *never* seen the Milky Way with my own eyes, even though I'm an amateur astronomer.

And the thing is, I'm almost 25 now, and a true dark sky has never been available to me—but I'm a person who's at least _aware_ of what I'm missing because of my science-minded path in life. And as Fraser mentioned, 80% of all Americans can't see our own galaxy in their sky, so what troubles me more than literally anything else is thinking about _just how many_ millions and millions of people here, ESPECIALLY young people, don't even have a basic sense of what they're missing.

That only adds to the dread this story gives me because it's like, if you don't know there's a problem, and you never hear that something is being _progressively, and _not even gradually_ taken away from you (none of the most consumed media in America is going to tell anyone, I can 100% promise you that), how can you possibly stop it?

All I know though, as someone who does understand the night sky's overwhelming importance to humanity, and the part it played and continues to play in the development of human beings, is that I damn well need to get involved. Period.
Thanks, Fraser.

I remember seeing the Milky Way as a kid visiting my grandparents in Nevada 45 years ago. I live under the light dome in Houston. I'm happy now if I can see much at all. I have my go to stars and planets. I think it's a combination of light pollution and aging vision that blocks my night sky view.

Here on Earth we have been cultivating plants for hundreds of years to make cements... such as linseed oil. It's a binder for oil paints. Lots of fatty bonds in linseed oil, it does not surprise me to learn we are trying to make fungi or other plants that can make bonding materials as a cement.

I remember seeing a night sky full of stars growing up. Looking up at the night sky now saddens me.

Light pollution here in the UK is 25% lower at the moment because nobody can afford the bloody electricity prices on average £400 converted into $500 per month . Another splendid video, thank you Mr Cain.

I'll selfishly predict StarShip launch in July, AFTER I retire at the end of June when I can camp in Boca Chica for weeks if need be. I saw the first Falcon Heavy launch and would love to be there for the maiden voyage of the next big thing. 😃😃

I miss the good ole days of being able to see the Milky Way. I used to go camping for a week at a time in Henderson TX. I remember waking up at various times during the night and seeing that the Milky Way had moved. It got to where I always knew what time it was at night just from where the stars were. If I win the lottery tonight, I'm going to buy or build a home in the middle of nowhere so I can shoot my bow and look at the stars. You're welcome to come out, have s'mores, and look through my enormous telescope!

As I recall; the first launch was to be Starship splashing down east of Hawaii and possibly an attempt to catch the booster. Has that changed to full orbital and / or an attempt to catch Starship too ? BTW, I've watched enough to feel a bit out of exchange and have subscribed via Patreon. On the Moon.

Since that instrument was made in Canada they have to use Canadian commands. Probably something as simple as saying "Eh" after the command.

For example with the light pollution part of the video.. here in Las Vegas we have the Luxor, which is the pyramid building on the strip pointing an incredibly bright beam into space for no reason. Light pollution is a MAJOR problem in Vegas and the stupid Luxor makes it even worse. No reason for it whatsoever. We should be trying to get the casino to remove it.

I am sorry that the equipment inside Of JWST failing so soon. I was in hopes that Scientists and Engineers would have built more robust equipment. It really makes me appreciate the Scientists and Engineers who built Voyager 1 & 2 and Hubble.

You've been predicting March since at *least* last November. ≥5 times you've said that I believe
Totally agree with you! (and have for a while) 😄
