2021 Suzuki Hayabusa | First Ride!

Time to take the new 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa for a first ride! You can go from zero to way too much in 1 gear...NUTS!

I rode the old Hayabusa on a Suzuki day back in 2016 so my direct comparisons are based on my old memory of that bike. After that ride, I was more than happy to get off of it for many reasons. The new one did not make me feel like that at all.

I have owned my Gen 3 Hayabusa for a year now, and it is my 6th Hayabusa. Most of the journey's I do are Warwickshire to West Dorset and back, and for these 400+ mile days on mostly motorway and A roads the bike excels. A steady 70mph will return as good as 50mpg which I reckon is pretty decent. Comfort is exceptional for me (I am 5'10") and I generally stop once to fill up on the way there, and stop twice on my way back, once for fuel, once for a 5 minute leg stretch. We all know how fast it is, and how quickly it takes off, but its party piece has to be its rate of propulsion from 70mph...indeed it defies all logic and scrambles the senses....
The cruise control is a very necessary addition for what is essentially a sports-touring bike, although I do find the stock screen directs wind blast right to the opening of my visor which means above 20mph the visor must stay closed.
Brakes are excellent thank god, (the brakes on my first gen 1 were frighteningly poor). Massive fun on sweeping bends, but you'll almost certainly be left behind on the tighter get back on a straight and there's no other bike like it.
Still draws plenty of attention, and overall I would definitely recommend these fabulous machines to anyone who has a disciplined right wrist...

I'm just happy that someone somewhere had a meeting and the outcome was to make another Busa! Bike looks bananas! 👍👍👍

I always bounce between the way of thinking "Less powerful bike I can wind out" and "Really powerful bike that I can just leave in one gear".

I do like that you do reviews from a realistic point of view rather than what others do which is useless information.

This one does look better then the past ones but still reminds me of a walrus

I played cyberpunk and get your point. Just bought one of these and my kid brother said ‘wow looks like a cyberpunk bike’. so there you go. Had the gen 2 for years and loved it and demod a gen 3 and loved it. More torque in the midrange even though the peak power is down. I don’t tend to drive at 180 mph so I don’t mind that.

Give it 15 years and I can't wait to put that engine in a kitcar

I had a few Blackbirds and a Hayabusa in the early 2000s, been on ADV bikes recently but really miss that power. Thanks for sharing I may have a ride down to Suzuki when they get one in.

In my opinion I love the model in this video. Please don’t hold it against me disagreeing with the rider. My first sport bike was the 84 Galaxy silver GPz550A1. Wasn’t bad for a 23 year old in 1984.

Love the Busa, I had a v plate one stage 2 tuned. The only thing I don't like on the new Busa is those hidious exhausts. 🏍️

I can't tell for sure. But the 3rd generation bike seems to have a jet turbine sound to it, which is absolutely beautiful sounding. I am wondering if the 3rd Gen bike is smoother with less vibration? I feel like maybe the 3rd Gen engine is more refined.

1978, ,, Years ago I beat the Suzuki GS 1000 with my Honda CBX 1000! 😎 Now 43 years later, I would like to walk up to a Suzuki Hayabusa gen 3/21 and feel it float on my cadence ... It has been ordered, it will be a white, as white as my face when "he" is flying with me! You can count on that! 👍Perfect all that, the wait will seem long but no problem I still have a few waiting who want to drive 🤩 - / -
🙏Great review 👍Thanks for sharing
