I am 86 yrs. Old. Farming was my passion but only given the opportunity to a farm at 80 when I retired . I am still planting forest trees and fruit trees for my family and others and for mother Earth.
Planted thousands of forest treed and still planting trees at my age.
Praying I can plant more with thr help of God.

Thank you so much, it’s exactly what I am doing, I am 78 years and this is also the way I have decided to live the rest of my life, I don’t want to be a burden to my family, and I enjoy living alone with few good friends. Thank you

After taking care of everyone else, I will live my life for myself. Take care of my needs, explore things put off, and let my children continue living their own lives. I'm not afraid of dying alone. I prefer it .

I am 73 from incredible India. Performed my duties as wife n mother n decided to rediscover myself. I had lived in fear of abuse. I was pushed off the ledge n took my flight to freedom at 65. There has been no looking back. This is my divine existence . Expressing gratitude to nature for keeping me blessed!🎉🎉

Family can partly support, but self-independence is the key to all the stages of life 👍

This exactly mirrors my own experience. I survived similar life situations. Rather than learning to play the piano I turned to writing and sewing and my life at 87 is unimaginably happy, independent although richly connected with my family, and fulfilling.

I am 71yrs old❤❤ and my husband is 73 and we are retired missionaries ❤
We live away from our children but enjoy having them visit as they please - especially on Sundays after Church for lunch. It's always a beautiful time with our grandchildren. We are busy with Discipleship training at church.
We also run a provision store where we interact with neighbors.

I too live a similar life alone after my husband's death. My daughter lives with her family miles away. Though she tells me to live with her I am very happy to be independent. Thanks for your story. It is absolutely true.

Keep on, never give up. Life is full of humps and bumps, but it is up to us on how to handle all our journeys called LIFE. Stay happy, strong and most of all PRAY. God is in control❤
