So cool. How long have you been collecting?

For the glass display, you said you use nails for holding the coin. Will the material of the nail or even the nail itself damage the coin? Wouldnt using rubber pins be better? Im asking because I am a novice collector and wanted to do the same thing

Hi mate, haven't got any ancient coins but looking to store my coins a bit better and make them look nicer. Would black velvet be ok do you think to sit them on? Or would it damage my coins (Australian decimal currency)

I primarily collect US coins. Most of my US coins are slabbed. However, I realize that ancient coins are different. Slabs are discouraged for ancient coins. Most collectors like to handle ancient coins with their hands rather than keeping them slabbed. Recently, I've been interested in ancient coins. I'm thinking of focusing on Roman Republican denarii. I'm planning on storing my ancients in cardboard 2x2. Most ancient coins aren't fragile unless they're "crystallized." When buying ancient silver, I'm going to avoid getting crystallized coins. Any tips on how to bid on CNG?
