this was cool and very informative. I'm an aspiring animator. Sadly I have no connections or proper schooling so I had to teach myself everything to be my own animation crew lol. I can never find decent music online for what I need and when I do, I have to worry about copyright strikes or paying the artist their dues. not that they don't deserve to be paid don't get me wrong. it's just that buying the license to use a song is expensive and hard to find legitimate sites that won't scam you. so I've been wanting to learn how to create my own background music cheaply but efficiently. I have so many ideas in my head so if I can pull off learning music creation, as greedy as I sound, I can copyright everything since I'm literally doing it all myself and not have to worry about splitting the profits.

The one thing I hate about epic or trailer music is the redundant .. predictable chords and music decisions that come w the genre .. when I write my music I make sure it stays away from these redundant methods that sound extremely repetitive

3:00 simplicity mean’s not lack of sophistication. There is no comparation between Gustav Holz and the fast food epic of today, that is mostly very kitschy. Most of the simple things you year today are very easy to explain: the composers actually can’t do better! Principally because they can’t read or write. You need 5 minutes to record, but 5 years to know your voice leading later, principally because midi overlays many voices.Some works are only possible by the association and analysis that an organized score provides, this is why Logic Pro can still improve more regarding the great score editor ✍️

Would be great if you could do a 1 hr video just to help game developer like myself and many others who don't want to make a career in music but need to have a good music theme song but cannot afford a composer. This video would require you to vulgarize as much as you can the complexity so people just have enough info to build a catchy theme song all by themselves. We have nothing against learning music theory but the highly complex task of making a video game don't let you more room to learn another highly complex art since it is already taking so many man hours that it is close to insanity when you are not a big team.
