1. Describe the HIV life-cycle and the mechanism of action of antiretroviral agents.
2. Given a treatment-naïve HIV-1 patient, recommend DHHS guideline-concordant antiretroviral therapy.
3. Given a newly diagnosed HIV patient, ensure adherence to ART is optimized.
4. Given an HIV patient, design an individualized monitoring plan.
5. Given a prescription for antiretroviral agents, provide patient counseling for adverse effects and proper administration.
6. Given a patient at risk for exposure to HIV, recommend appropriate PrEP regimen.
7. Given an HIV-exposed patient, recommend appropriate PEP regimen.
8. Given an HIV patient case, evaluate and manage common drug-drug interactions.
9. Given a patient case where an adult patient with HIV is experiencing intolerable adverse effects, recommend appropriate management.
10. Educate a patient living with HIV about important lifestyle modifications.
11. When indicated, recommend immunization to patients living with HIV.
