I really love how they're doing this. The fact we are getting new songs this soon is amazing as is, but these short little episodes really just add to what makes Gorillaz so great in the first place. This first song is a banger, and I am so beyond ready to hear what else they have in store for us!

Can we take a second to appreciate how the animation at 1:17 actually has Noodle playing the correct notes, and she even does the fingering slightly different than the guy in the background? That is a commitment to detail in both animation AND musicianship. This is why Gorillaz are immortally incredible

Eddie Murphy said in a recent interview with Stephen Colbert that he refused his role on "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" because the idea of mixing cartoons with live-action would be disastrous. He did say that he regrets what he did.

The thing is: he had no clue that *THIS* cartoon/live-action series could be so good.
