As someone that just got back into sparring, and also just got punched in the face a few dozen times as a result, I can't wait to practice these methods this week!

1- after being comfortable with block, block/parry opponent's first punch, after making contact slip/duck etc.
2- move your head after every punch by slips/leanback/rolling etc.
3- maintain outside distance so you can read punches better.

This was the most informative 4 minutes worth of defense instruction I’ve ever seen. Amazing.

excellent Jeff i am in a senior MMA class my partner is 82, we are playful in our sparring. Playfulness helps us loosen up and move the head more. Thanks!

I don’t know how you keep record of your sparring videos and show us exactly what you are talking about but it’s amazing. The quality of your content is unmatched.

The hand touching sensitivity is also a fencing principle you can feel where the pressure of the blade is to see where they try to disengage and thrust or feint.

You're the best Jeff. I take these to my 1:1 MMA coaching and outline what I want to work on. Your head work and foot work are so fluid.

Im a young kickboxer and jiu jitsu practioner. I have been watching your videos for a while and your content is amazing. What should I do to become better? What excersies should i do in the weight room? Im not trying to compete but just to have fun sparring and learning to defend myself.
