man bleeds blue, he let the club owners throw him under the bus last season; potentially ruining his career. He became a caretaker for their mess and did all he could, we love you Frank

Frank is a very articulate chap, and I love his transparency here. Unfortunately, he remembers his time at Chelsea in amazing detail which tells me he hasn't moved on, and hasn't really found another job which excited him like managing Chelsea. I think he knows the role was too soon/big for him and he's got fond memories as if you'e you know it's never going to be that good again.

Liverpool fan and mad respect for him while he played, fantastic adversary and seems like a decent person so I hope he succeeds in management

Chelsea supporters are lucky to have this man love their club so much. He gave them everything in his football life and even when he didn’t have much left (that second stint as manager) he still was loyal. There’s many fair criticisms of him as a coach but it’s hard not to admire Lampard for his work and dedication to the game and to Chelsea FC.

Tbh, I don't think Frank's all that bad. Everton was a nightmare because its Everton, I mean not a single manager has done well their under the current ownership. His last stint at Chelsea was never going to go well given all the stuff that was the issue at Chelsea. I'd like to see him go to a club that's relatively stable in ownership and operation and just have another go.

Nothing against Lampard, but it's funny how when it's him or Gerrard who lose their job, then they "left" their club. But when it was Ole, Emery, Mourinho etc... then they were sacked

I'm a LIVERPOOL FAN but I've always liked and respected FRANK LAMPARD when he talks he talks from the heart and lays it all out he's an absolute trooper .And people who hate on him I'll like to ask you WHY??? Your the same people who was cheering him on in the EURO'S/WORLD CUP'S whenever he scored for us???

I love Frank so much! It's in my heart. Lamps is Chelsea, and it is family. From the very first goal for Chelsea against my team Levski Sofia, I am forever in love with Super Frank! Thank you for your service. No win or trophy can't match emotions from the penalty againt Liverpool 2008 🙏

It was his job with the transfer ban that actually even led them to play in UCL

Lamp has good knowledge on football, but he isnt great as a manager. I saw that he spotted many players that would grow later back then. Maybe he should become a consultant or a scout

This is one of the more intruiging sackings because it should have worked. Tuchel may have won the UCL but even he can't really say it was a successful stint given how fast he was sacked and the manner in which it happened. The thing is though with Frank ... Stevie G ... and others, they started in a job which they didn't have enough accomplishments in the bank. The expectations were ridiculously high given how little experience they had in high pressure jobs. Experience teaches you to handle wins and losses in a matter of fact way rather than with big emotions. Clubs like South Melbourne and Mainz ... are where Ange and Jurgen started - not glamorous but very important for their development/confidence.

We can't dismiss Lampard's huge role in Chelsea winning the UCL. He may have not won it himself, but his trust in young players like Mason Mount and Reece James played a huge role in Chelsea winning it with Tuchel. Let's not forget that he was crucified for forcing Mount into the team and he turned out to be the best player on that team. Not to mention he guided that team through a very difficult period when they had a transfer ban and when they lost Eden Hazard. He may have not won any trophies with Chelsea, but his time there was still a success when you look at the bigger picture.

Upon reflection it wasn't right to rehire Super Frank given his managerialism record at Everton. Upon reflection respectfully Frank Lampard should actually be an Assistant Manager under Mourinho. If he really wants to be a top manager.

Not a chelsea fan but always liked Lampard. Don’t think he did a great job as manager but it’s a shame to see his best work, bringing through the youth, being completely kiboshed by the new regime. Must kill him seeing Tomori, Mount and Abraham playing elsewhere now.
