For this Autodesk Fusion 360 Quick Tip video, we'll answer the question “How do I change dimensions in a sketch in Fusion 360”. In Fusion 360, we've made it easy to open and modify sketches. Simply double-click the sketch you wish to modify to enter the Sketch environment. Find the dimension you want to modify and double click. You can then enter a new number to modify the sketch.

You can also modify dimensions without entering the sketch environment. Find the sketch you want to modify in the browser tree, right-click it and select Show Dimension. All the dimensions in the sketch will now appear. Select the dimension you want to change and double click to modify this dimension.

Did anyone laugh when he said "we have made it easy to open and modify sketches" NO that is litterally why all of us are here. Making a simple change in dimension is not easy nor intuitive.

It does not show up measurements automatically like yours. How do you do that?

Yeah, but why are there no actual dimensions in my sketch? I made a simple rectangle, and even thought "show dimensions" is ticked, there are none.

doesn't work. My sketch is shown bold blue, I can't edit any dimension, and there's a lock near it's name.

Won't work eather way for me
Shows all dimensions but can be clicked 100x will never show blue to edit

Fusion 360 is indeed a software for new age designers.Especially the top down design approach which saves a tremendous amount of time when it comes to creating assemblies.

Double click won't show or edit dimensions

this doesn't work because no dimensions appear. I just installed the software so there's no way I could have changed the default settings. this product sucks.

I want to downscale a sketch proportionally but instead of having an option to DOWNSCALE the whole damn sketch I have to go by numbers on each segment? Who thought this was a good idea?
