My first ride out on my Pivot Shuttle AM Review Bike. I'm so excited to have this in my arsenal for a while.

Update: It sounds like they use TRP red pads on their demo bikes occasionally. The bikes should ship with Shimano Ice Tech pads.

As a father of a 3 year old, another on the way, and was neither a lover or hater of e-bikes I can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve done comparison rides fitness wise & found that it is equally as beneficial. Analog bikes get you a lot of cardio but the ebike rides can burn just as many calories but is just more of a full body workout.

The only difference is I get more smiles per mile with the extra speed. Brings boring trails to life. Get more time on the downs and jump lines. Can sneak out to get a lap in where I wouldn’t normally have enough time with dad duties. And on the off season is a great way to keep up with bike park speeds so it’s not like showing up after the winter and not having gone Mach 10 for months. I’m a much better dh rider because of it!

Only haters are people who haven’t tried it or just want to hate!

Currently on a Firebird and been contemplating the Shuttle LT and a short travel analog. The AM sounds like a solid option, but would love to see you try an LT and hear your thoughts. Switching from a Switchblade to a Firebird had very little penalties.

I picked up a Giant Reign E and it has the sync drive and is very natural feeling. First ever e bike and it’s pretty sick the trails it opens up.

Thanks for all your work ... Love your reviews ... been following you on the other channel for several years now. Greatly appreciate it. One question and one small request ... How loud would you say the clunk is (is it noticable) from the Bosch motor on the AM (I'm assuming it is the Bosch CX Gen4). And the small request :) ... if you somehow get your hands on a SantaCruz Vala, PLEASE post up a review ASAP ... Would love to hear your thoughts on the bike and how it compares to the Shuttle AM. I have this and the LT and both are amazing bikes. The LT (EP801) is better for my riding needs however I can see the AM being the one if you need a heady duty trail e-bike. I decided to sell the AM as I have a switchblade.

Spencer do you prefer the float X over the X2 for the Firebird? Jeff Kendallweed said something about that I'm just curious I have an X2 on mine.

This was my absolute favorite ebike for ripping through corners until I snapped the frame by casing a moderately tall but high speed drop. Pivot replaced the frame but I ended up on a different bike because of trust issues.

The pivot platform is really easy to get behind. Ive seen people absolutley thrash their e bike rigs and they just take it.
