So happy she’s talking about body skin, because there’s not nearly enough content with good information on how to take care of the skin on your body

Hi Dr V! I just wanted to let you know that what you’re doing in terms of educating specifically for skin of colour is extremely important and I am so glad you have chosen to pursue this completely sponsor free!! There are so many unique struggles for skin of colour and finally being able to understand ingredients and how they affect my skin has helps in so many ways. So thank you for all that you do and continue to do for our community!! You are a trailblazer and will start a movement in the skincare industry to be more colour inclusive and colour conscious !!! Thank you thank you thank you!

I love the vanicream body wash. I am going to try their cleanser. I haven't had an eczema breakout since 2013. I take cold showers (didn't have a choice in the Navy and in some countries, but my skin felt amazing). I use Ceramedx Ultra moisturising creme and paw paw ointment right after. I hope that those two are not harmful for skin of colour.

Can you do a video about hyperpigmentation in the bikini area along with ingrowns and if waxing, shaving or laser hair removal is better.

Dove is one of the last brands I ever use because it tears my skin up. 🙅🏽‍♀️ I am a person of color and I only use Olay body wash and L’occtaine Almond shower oil in the shower. Neither one of those break out my skin or irritate it. They are both very moisturizing. 😊

I normally don’t comment but I felt I had to since I rely on this channel for information on skincare. Please could you do more videos on body skincare please as there are less information on it. Could you do moisturisers for Black people please? I’m actually overwhelmed on the amount of information and it will be nice to list ingredients to look out for that don’t benefit our skin in body skincare products. Thank you for what u do on your platform.

Hey Dr V! There’s been a lot of debate on the internet about how to apply soap onto the body. Hands, wash clothes, or loofahs/body puffs. Could you do a video discussing this topic? Also, what would be the best way to exfoliate skin on the body? Chemical or physical exfoliation? Oh. And what are your thoughts about using emollients instead of soap when bathing.

Thank you for sharing options that are available in the U.S.

I have 3 more options for anyone else in the UK. All of these I have used and worked well for me, so give them a try if you'd like (they're cheap and easily accessible too!);
1) Simple Hypoallergenic Shower Gel
2) QV Gentle Wash (check your local pharmacies for these)
3)Baby Dove Sensitive Moisture Head To Toe Wash (make sure it's the one labelled 'sensitive', which is fragrance free).

A video on daytime and nighttime anti aging plus hyperpigmentation routine would be so amazing.

I've been using Uriage Xemose Cleansing Oil body wash. It's great. It can find it at any Canadian and likely European drug store. Bioderma makes one too, but it has parfum in the ingredients even though it is advertised as fragrance free.

After watching your videos, I decided to go all fragrance-free with my skin care/cleansing and I didn't realize just how many products have fragrance in them, sheesh!
