Hi doc am teri my cycle is 28days n my periods came on 5-7days this month would really want to try for a boy this month n my ovulation is on 18th can I do it even before the ovulation day kindly advice thank you

Hi, doctor. Someone said this and I would like you to please tell me if this is true or not.

"Placenta doesn't actually deliver nutrients to the baby until about 8 - 12 weeks of pregnancy. If you were drinking before this, it's unlikely to affect the baby because it was getting its own yolk sack. But before 8 - 12 months, you are not passing anything to the baby because the placenta isn't done setting up shop."

I thought you shouldn't drink alcohol no matter what week of pregnancy you are in. Whether it's week one, week 12, etc.
