The Expanding Earth - an observational documentary

This documentary explores the possibility that the Earth is expanding. The current scientific consensus for the locations of the continents is the continental drift theory. Continental drift proposes the continents were at one time gathered together on one side of the planet in a supercontinent called Pangea, then moved into their current positions through plate tectonics.

First proposed in 1889, the expanding Earth concept explores the possibility that the planet is expanding along ocean floor ridges worldwide, stretching and splitting as the planet expands. This would move the continents away from a central point, much like the expansion of a balloon rather than lateral movement.

Expanding earth is the only sound theory. The evidence is overwhelming. The time it took to expand is subjective. These events could have happened much more quickly than you think. The stretch marks suggest that it did. It looks like the original break was slow, then spread much faster after that and slowed/stopped.

This is a rehashing of the "Neal Adams Science Project" that was posted many years ago. It makes perfect sense. I earned a BSc in Earth Science decades ago...and every question I had then is ANSWERED by this theory. The Earth is expanding!

Brilliant. I've been waiting for this documentary for so long. Thank you. Well explained and very nicely visualized. Well done! The Expanding Earth explanation should no longer be described as a theory. It's a complete no brainer. Also the ideas of iron oxidizing makes prefect sense when thinking about the reasons for expansion. Years ago my grandmother was thought that earth had never changed since creation, . It was only in my youth that Wegner's ideas were entering universities and high school education. The expanding earth explanation hopefully will enter schools asap. It is amazing how so many people still haven't realized this.

In my point of view the earth core plays the main role.
The earth core is made from some very dense compressed mass but time over time it leaches out it's materials like oil coming out from the gravy.
The less dense mass leaving the core & went to outer layer creating mantle and the mantle leaches out more lighter materials & gas; that is lava, & deposited them under earth crust.
In other words the earth core decompress.

Amazing to see it all summed up in such a well-made documentary. I was especially impressed with the beautiful animations. Expanding earth has been an obsession of me for a while, and I've made my own animations, but not this neat. Who made these animations and how where they made? Not a big fan of the rust theory... but it's something I guess. :)

I've been following the expanding earth theory for several years. This explanation not only fits with biblical accounts and also the Sumerian accounts but is the best explanation I've seen to date.

I'm so glad that someone has continued from neal Adams on this theory. The expanding earth theory really makes an much sense since I first encountered it 20 years ago. But it's a shame that there are so many who refuse to consider this serious and still teaches subduction and pangea theory in school as if it's proven

It can't be just coincidence that all of the continental crust fits back together along the rift zones around the smaller planet earth that results when you remove all of the ocean basins. The idea that the earth is expanding seems to me at least as probable as the idea that the earth is simultaneously shrinking and expanding in order to maintain a constant size.

Ever since I was a kid and learned about the Pangea theory, somewhere deep down in my intuition I felt like that was the silliest thing ever and made no sense.

Great Video! It always bugged me how plate tectonics ignore the fact that the whole earth once was covered in water.

The rust theory is intriguing but I guess it can only one contributing factor of many others.

Evidence of growing in size can also be seen on other planetary object such as Jupiter moon Europa, so I tend to think that maybe planetary objects under circumstances we do not yet understand act like 'condensation nuclei' for matter itself.
Maybe our Earth core picks up dark matter or Neutrinos while travelling through space and converts it to real mattter?
Of course the Dinosaurs could only have been so gigantic because earth's mass and thus its gravitiy was lower :-)

I guess physicists have yet a lot to learn. You just have to open your eyes and be open for new theories.

On a smaller planet there was less gravity and that allowed the Dinosaurs to grow so massive. The oceans came from steam generated at the core.

Cheers, that's a great introduction to Earth expansion. I thought at first you were going to explain mass increase by accretion of cosmic dust but then you introduced the novel conception of a rusting iron core!
