Hidden Exotic interactions: Thorn & Lumina.

The two exotic hand cannons "Thorn" and "Lumina" are the "upgraded" version of the Rose hand cannon which both has a hidden interaction when paired with two of the warlock exotic armors "Necrotic Grips" and " Boots of the Assembler" to enhance the weapon's perks.

I like how the Rose was the weapon created by a Titan, used against a Hunter, with no Warlocks involved what so ever...
So Warlocks get the two exotics that pair with them instead XD

It’s funny how Thorn and it’s counterpart the lumina are so closely tied to Hunters and Titans in their lore (Yore and Shin respectively), yet it’s the _Warlocks_ that can bring out both guns true potential with their own powers syncing with how the guns work.

Small note to add: I've seen more noble rounds spawn when multiple guardians are in the same rift (only seen it on well since that's what I pair with it, but may work on other classes too)

Luminas noble rounds also stack with well of radiance’s benevolent dawn, allowing for some really good ability regen.

Maybe another weird interaction unless its been fixed. While a target is blighted with witherhoard it takes more damage from mafeasance even if it's not taken.

I love how these weapons feel so alive and immersive with these synergies!….. but the fact that a warlock is the only one that gets not just one but both combos is outrageous and heartbreaking

Lore wise, Lumina is made from THE Thorn. The one that Shin Malphur kept after killing Dregen Yor.

The Thorn in D2 is a handcrafted replica. And Malfeasance is the result of Drifter's attempt at making his own type of Thorn. Who seems to clearly be an avid fan of the Y1 primary sandbox because of the whole, "It doesn't matter how fast he (man with the GG, Shin) is, as long as we each get one shot off", something among those lines.

Essentially:
Lumina=The OG Thorn
Thorn= Very well made replica
Malfeasance= Knockoff, but respectable in its own way.

Noble Rounds will always spawn regardless of having Lumina equipped. This was likely intentional, after they accidentally coded Necrotic Grip with Thorn's poison, and left it in there due to it's lore tab inextricably linking it to Thorn.

I really hope we see more of these exotic weapon + armor pairings, I love build synergies and getting them by design makes buildcrafting even more fun

Boots and Lumina: CALL AN But not for me.

They also combine with middle tree dawn and activate its perks

I was hoping for some hidden thing where thorn did like double damage while boosted by noble rounds and lumina did increased damage to poisoned targets and rose got both of those. But that would be a bit much in all honesty. Would be cool though.

Ah so that's what it does with lumina, never knew about it since I don't own the gun, I have been running necrotic thorn for a while now and it is disgusting at clearing adds. Curious to see what type of synergies they could come up with in the future.

Lumina and thorn should work together. Thorn should gain soul devour when you hit them with a noble round, instead of a damage boost.
