I have HDG, $34, for the incentive to stay healthy to avoid medical costs.
The other plans don't have the incentive due to 'I'll get my money's worth' thinking.

It's viable if it's what you want as a user. Unfortunately, it's hard to find and will inevitably be discontinued from lack of use because Agents/Brokers don't recommend it due to the low commissions.

I was considering the HDG plan, but the diff in premium between plan N and HDG was only $50. Went with N. I consider N the sweet spot between G, GHD, & N.

Another consideration that favors the High Deductible plan is that the pool of subscribers will tend to be healthier than the regular plan leading to lower rate increases.

I'm on Ghd 55 dollars a month compared to G PLAN AT 180 DOLLARS A MONTH. ONLY SEE THE DOC. 3 TIMES A YEAR. IF YOUR IN BAD SHAPE YEAH TAKE THE G or N plan.

Was wondering what drives the deductible increase. Found out CMS updates the deductible amount each year after the release of the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U) which generally occurs in mid-September.

In the dark...was the viability addressed for 2023? As the title suggested? Is there something specific to 2023? Hubby turned 65 we just initiated enrollment so 2023 is all I know. THANKS.
