If somebody doesn't have a welder, they could slightly flatten a pipe, then cut it to match. Ya, that's a real improvement over hooking two wrenches.

Very cool idea, thanks. I kind of did something  not quite the same, but the idea was there. Found myself an aluminum alloy pipe, around 4 feet long and 1 1/2 inch ID, and smooshed about 6" of the one end in a vise so the wrench would fit in it, without really rattling around. It originally was for a 1/2 inch breaker bar so I could loosen the center nuts on VW wheel hubs. That was about 30 years ago. I still have it. Somewhere.
