This god damn format where they stretch out stories to 90 seconds by adding unnecessary information and "backstory" still isn't working, and I'm starting to think they're not going to go back. Really hope they change their mind on this one soon before I unsubscribe :(

I'm glad it's just a specialized distro of android because there are already dozens of android ARM systems with hdmi out to choose from. (Basically they make your TV a giant tablet--that you can stream netflix/hulu/youtube/locally stored video on.)  It's good that Google would make a build of android designed to make that as easy as possible.

Someone needs to make a launcher similar to that, I have a Favi Smart Stick and that would make everything look so much cooler

What happened to 90 seconds? It used to be informative and entertaining. This sucks...

So this is it then? One story per 90 seconds... Will need some getting used to... Still prefer the older version

these things will continue to suffer  as long as the content providers continue to be assholes and want to much or not want to make deals. Netflix is a perfect example of something that has so much potential yet it doesn't have  some old movies or TV shows or even some recent ones that have been out for a while.

the problem isnt google tv  or any other internet, media share box
problem is that channel that people like to watch are staying on cable.
if the highly watched channels come to low rate subscription, they will make more money as well as these set up boxes will actually start expanding.
until then its basically fragmented boxes by tons of company with same apps and company support (youtube, netflix, hulu, etc)... same thing over and over again.
all we need is a box that is powerful enough to play HD online videos, rest of the features are gimmicks(amazon... who plays games on tv)?
