One issue is creating believable photos that actually never happened and that one would not assume is so drastically altered.

Professional Photoshop guru for 20 years now. You can already do a lot of this before! "Content aware fill" certainly already exists and I use it frequently. Nevermind it seems the end result of the generative ai is incredibly "hit or miss" visually, much like AI in general. Very cool tool to be sure, but nothing game changing for those of us who been using photoshop forever, as its just another, albeit more flexible version of content aware.

AI is going to make artists unplug and regress to analog. The "wow" effect is dead and everyone will be desensitized to AI.
