Will there be an attack on Israel before the Tribulation begins? Will people be able to be saved after they miss the Rapture? Did "Left Behind" get it right?

The reason why some of these so-called Christians are left behind, is because they weren't saved to begin with. You have to make sure you trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses us of our sins and stand in the gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV with all your heart (your entire being) in order to be saved and to go in the Day of Redemption (Ephesians 1:13 KJV, Ephesians 4:30 KJV).

I think that the representative of the tribulation is fine at the most but the way they describe the rapture is just not true. It acts as if people will just disappear. Every eye will see and there will be a loud trumpet.

I read all of the Left Behind books (minus the prequel novels) And I heard all of the audio dramas based on them (good listen to btw) But the Left Behind films are hit and miss for me. Mostly cause they aren't terribly faithful to the books, possibly for budget reasons. (lets face it you'd need a Hollywood budget to do them justice)

This movie assumes that here even will be a rapture which 90% of Christians don’t believe in.

Revelation 13:3 NKJV "And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast."

Revelation13:14 NKJV "And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast WHO WAS WOUNDED BY THE SWORD AND LIVED."

There is a mortal wound the antichrist suffers and appears to die from. There isn't a mention of the exact time this happens. But the world will know he has died, or been mortally wounded, and this will lead the world to marvel and follow him. I would think this would be in the beginning of the world following. "The world marveled and followed the beast." And he is "killed" with the sword. This indicates a military element to who he is. Also, one of the reasons Israel rejected Jesus as the Messiah was the "King" would have been seen as some type of military leader. Israel will come to accept the antichrist due to this worldly leadership quality that would allow them to accept him as their messiah this time. They rejected Jesus because they He was not the "King" they envisioned. Even today, Israel rejects the true Messiah because He, Jesus, did not conquer and rule as they understand as men of this world would understand it. The Spirit of God is the One who allows us to come to the truth. They did not have the Spirit to know. At least not most of the leadership of the Jews.

I did not see this reflected in the character portraying the antichrist in Left Behind. At least not from what I can remember of the movie. I tend to rationalize the coming of power for the antichrist will be a result of the rapture and the vacuum created as a result of many disappearing. There will be chaos and even the religious, not true believers but those who habitually go to church, will find solace from a leader who will rise up and bring order out of the chaos created. This is another element I didn't quite feel was demonstrated well by the movie.

But many other elements of end times were well done as portrayed and executed by the production of Left Behind. At least the first movie. I didn't see the others. I am glad to have seen this review. Good job.

Based on 3-5 prophetic dreams that I had starting in 1998. As an American Christian, we will be persecuted for our faith before being raptured out. Matthew 24 has become a realization of the times we are living in. Jesus said those who ENDURE to the end will be saved. Prepare for martyrdom for our witness and testimony of Jesus. Checkout the movie clip The Gray State. Pray for the Faith and Patience of Jesus. To be able to stand in the latter days.

I noticed in watching the movie that the name of Jesus seems not to be mentioned at all. They even have people praying for salvation who get saved without ever mentioning the name of Jesus.

Why is the video so blurry when I watch it? Was it originally so poor resolution when it came out? Feel like I am watching a vcr tape from the 70’s when I watched them.

There are different opinions end times scripture and theology ....this movie plays on some of those but in most Christian circles it isn't found to be 100% biblical and that it takes some of the bible outta context and some have even made jokes about it...thing is to study God's Word for yourself w genuine pray and build a fellowship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit..as far as the movie it at least gets people thinking and talking about their eternities and thats a very awesome thing...God Bless..

Since the Left Behind books are 100% biblically accurate and many of the difficult passages in the Bible are explained I would say to anyone who reads the books that when you read the book of Revelation follow the Left Behind novels as a sort of commentary.
Also I highly recommend Dr. Tim LaHays book Revelation Unveiled.
As far as the movies go they are excellent... however I was extremely disappointed with the film with Nicoles Cage it could have been done a lot better. It would have been interesting to see the entire Left Behind series adapted to the screen!!

None of this is meant to be scripture line for line of the bible. It is meant to save your soul in end time days

I love Left Behind, it's one of my favorite Rapture movies, you should 100% watch, Pureflix, ¨Six: The Mark Unleashed¨ or one of the OG rapture movies made in the 1970s called ¨A Theif in the Night¨ great movie, and its series, does a great job explaining the rapture and the 7 years of tribulation. Another really good rapture/tribulation movie is the Omega Code, which does an amazing job, portraying the tribulation, and the second movie they have is called Ammerigodo, which is really good (though the movie does not show the rapture, which does make the movie lose some points). I personally did not like this movie but 2014, Left Behind is a readaptation of the Left Behind books, its not as good, and removes the core message of the bible.

But wouldnt some new Christians want to go to/start a church? Even if it is the time of Israel?

Today I think it deserves 100 points because in the beginning of the movie there was a surprise attack on Israel and the reporter was filming the planes that were destroyed in mid air. And now this attacked on Israel which happened a few hours ago, those missiles explored in mid air! I know it's not exactly accurate but somehow it connects. It's happening right now in Israel. Who knows but this might be the beginning of World War III.
