Spamton is literally spam personified; he does more than just reference what spam usually does, he literally gets Kris to take part in something malicious (or at least, very dangerous to Kris).

POV: You just froze a bird and went through a manhole to get to a Queen's Castle

This theme is so well designed. It gives off intense pressure, which could be a reference to Spamtoms mind or the sheer amount of power he just unlocked.

Toby can make such a good atmosphere with such simple music. It’s amazing.

put it on 1.5x speed and you get the ''deal gone wrong'' that plays in the snowgrave route after spamton goes full neo

Even if the actual quest was pretty simple, I really liked how involved the player was in getting to fight Spamton NEO. Toby mentioned in the anniversary stream that the Key Pieces were a pretty rushed addition, so I'm glad he was able to improve on that in this chapter.

Spamton literally talks about taking over the kingdom as soon as Queen leaves.

"Deal Gone Wrong"
Pacifist : You made Spamton surprised to see you rejected his offer to give him your [HeartShapedObject]

Snowgrave : You double-crossed him.

Manipulation. That is what this game's Genocide route is all about. You manipulate Noelle, a sweet and caring girl, into murdering so many people. And you screwed over Spamton without letting him realize it. It was only until the very end that he realized he must stop you. Manipulation is what you, the player, do as well. You manipulate Kris to do what YOU want. Kris rarely gets to make their own decisions. This isn't about you. In fact, this story is about going against something that keeps you captive. It's about facing something that wants control over you.

Kris is fighting against you. Just like how Spamton was trying to fight against being controlled, too.

You are the villain.

Ok, I really think the game's weird route will revolve around trying as hard as possible to change the legend, but it always goes back. For example, a human could be Kris or the player. A monster (as we've already seen in snowgrave) doesn't need to be suzie, the legend says its just any monster which could include Noelle. For a prince of the dark, instead of ralsei the player could try to abandon ralsei only for it to be lancer who fulfills the legend. It's all about bending the original legend.

It was oddly chilling hearing this music and seeing Spamton’s picture throughout the mansion.

This is sort of like a more calm but more terrifying version of inniment death. The death echoes more than it but it's still calmer somehow. It just goes to show how good toby is at what he does.

In the scene before the Spamton NEO fight in Pacifist, this song highlights Spamton becoming fully unhinged, and encapsulates the raw terror you and Kris share being faced down by this mechanical monstrosity that Spamton has become. You have no chance alone, you're backed into a corner.
But in Snowgrave? It takes on a whole new context. One eerily familiar when thinking back to Undertale's Genocide route. After all, this song _is_ just Spamton's Theme slowed down. No, in Snowgrave it's no longer about your fear, you being small, it's once again about the fear of what you've done. Of what your power and influence on this world has caused.
You see in Pacifist, Spamton betrays your deal. The deal's gone wrong because he's desperate enough to break it and try to kill Kris for their soul, in a last ditch effort to be free.
But in Snowgrave, you break the deal. You go behind his back by dodging past his pipis traps and ascending the mansion. You make the deal go wrong here, and right when you and Spamton have both (quite literally) reached the top, you two villains face each other.
And so as it always goes, your betrayal leads to a desperate fight for control. You show yours and Spamton's true colors, two crooked salesman who fought their way to the top, now ready to drag each other to rock bottom to beat the other.
Your judgement doesn't come from a hero or a judge this time, it comes from a fellow sinner who's just as dirty as you are. What a tragic, yet completely deserved fate.

Guys. Spamton created Snowgrave Route by telling you what "4 left" and selling you Thorn Ring (fact he's extremely proud of). If it wasn't for him, everything would've just gone back to normal. He's not the hero. He's the villain.
He doesn't stop you because you're horrible person. He stops you because you stand in his way of becoming the God of Cyber World. He's literally Flowey 2.0, but he's smarter than his predecessor because he successfully double crosses you then you're at your weakest (still not smart enough to account for Noelle).
Also closing the portal isn't a bad thing. Are you forgetting about the Roaring?
