BUYING A FRENCH CHATEAU UNSEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC!

Julia's dream chateau came up for sale during the pandemic, but she couldn't travel from America to see it in person! So she asked me to tour it for her, and to send her a video. I put together a chateau-hunting dream team, and went with Philip (the Sherlock Holmes of architectural details) and Davy (garden designer and great problem spotter & solver) to visit the Renaissance Chateau de Puyvidal.

This is an edited version of the video that we sent to Julia, which led to her and her family putting in an offer the very next day!

So beautiful! The library is a dream, like being hugged by books. The gem of a cabinet for porcelain is beyond words. The whole chateau is exceptional. There could be no better tour guide!

Boy, now I have to say, this chateau had just about everything going for it. Really fine shape for the age. Did see a few cracks in the stone that can be fixed. It had really held together well for so many years. These places take work and a lot of love. I really enjoyed the tour. Thank you.

Even as a child I was intrigued by castles and chateaus and always wanted to live in one.This was amazing and so well kept and in great condition and wonderfully decorated and restored. It would cost a fortune to upkeep the garden and the house but if I had a fortune I would love to have this amazing place❤️
