Deepin is a Debian-based Linux distribution that features the gorgeous Deepin Desktop Environment (DDE). Deepin is a Chinese distro that comes with a complete suite of applications, most of which are applications built by the Deepin team.

Hey DT. Deepin Browser is a fork of Chromium with their own skin. Deepin Mail is also their own thing. Not sure what it's a fork of though.

Well, I've tested Deepin before, it is not my first choice to show to someone new in Linux. I'd go with Solus OS, Zorin, Mint or Kubuntu... Excellent video.

The email and browser clients don't have generic names those are the names of the apps, they are made by deepin for deepin just like file browser, terminal, calculator, font manager, download manager, text editor, system log, document viewer, voice notes, manual, camera, music, movie, image viewer, album, screen capture, user feedback, boot maker, phone assistant, disk manager, draw, calendar archive manager, package installer, device manager, print manager, system monitor and control center. They are in-house apps developed with DTK framework.

Cinnamon in Linux Mint is basically an exact copy of how Windows 10 looks. You could install Mint on a casual users computer and it would probably take them a while to realize it's not Windows.

KDE Plasma does everything better and is way more customizable. There is not, and never will be anything shady about KDE either.

The reason the standard installation requires 64GB is deepin uses a custom partition table by default. It installs the /home folder inside a data partition independently from the system files because it has a recovery mode that you can use to reset your system to factory while keeping your files intact.
