Im starting to think that this channel is talking about a little boy (unnamed) that ran away from home, and his songs are just his life story, starting with this one. "Compass" is for the first few years of his life as a pirate, early in his pirate life, he was lost, and didnt know what to do, then he met the love of his life, Katie Mcmahon, they sailed the seas for 20+ years, finding more treasures than any pirate that lived at the time, gaining money you could only dream of counting, but when they were done, they had nothing to show, they were still lost, they still had no home, (unnamed) lost faith, he thought they would never make it back home, but Katie, the everloving partner and crew member she is, re-kindled his hope, they sailed the seas again, one last time, 'til one night, she passed, he was alone, again.

Fast forward a few years, he fully embraced his life as a pirate, with "Bones", he sailed the seas, finding various treasures, becoming arrogant, and egocentric, then he remembered a tale from his mother, a tale about the boat named "The Shadow", an untammable boat, with all those who sailed it, die amidst the seven seas, never to be found, and of course, his ego got the best of him, vowing to be the first to tame it, setting sail tomorrow afternoon.

Fast forward the next morning, before setting sail, he sang a sea shanty, "Unsinkable", talking about how he is the best pirate to live, claiming to never lose to the seven seas, he wouldn't ever sink, never losing his life to the rough seas, and looking back at his achievements, you would've believed anything he ever said.

Fast forward a few hours, noon, he sailed to the last known sighting of "The Shadow", he would find the boat, and tame it, or thats what he thought he would do, after they arrived, they find it, finally, the boat of legends, but what they never thought of was that there was a mystical power gaurding the ship, an unholy beast with no origin, with the appearance of a beatiful woman, but do not let her looks fool you, she is as powerful as the drake passage, as dangerous as the north sea, and as mysterious as the ocean itself, with (unnamed) members all losing their lives, with him being the only one left, he impressed the embodiment of the ocean, but he would lose his eyes to it, so that he would never be able to sail another boat ever again, after the deadly encounter, he told the tale in the form of a song, "The Shadow", named after the cursed boat that took his sight, and his members.

Other than sailing the sea, this is almost a literal story about my life. I remember at 18 having to physically run away to get into the world. My mother trying to hold my arms as I pulled away and ran into the wind as fast as I could. Me swearing at my dad, telling him he doesn't know how the world works.

Went on an insane journey for 16 years of moving place to place and looking for more adventure. I was always looking for home.

Then one day I realized home is right where I am, wherever I go.

That has never left me to this day.
