My grandpa was in Timişoara when it happened, he still tells me stories of what happened there

My grandfather, who passed away in 2021, was an adjutant platooner in the Romanian army and fought in the 1989 revolution against dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu. He came home with gun in hand and uniform on him. But after the revolution he withdrew because he had bone cancer, but he healed.

The day before this my uncle who was in the army didn't want to sleep next to another dude so they moved him to other place. The morning comes and the soldiers from my uncle platoon we're transported to Bucharest to kill whatever it moves. Thankfully my uncle manged to escape this, unlike others. R.I.P

Romania a avut destinul poate cel mai atipic. 1) La venirea comunistilor era tara cu cel mai mic(practic inexistent) partid comunist. Avea pe la 800 de membri si multi dintre ei erau straini(de toate natiile minoritare, evrei, germani, unguri, bulgari). 2) La final de comunism noi am fost singura tara care si-a dat jos conducatorul prin violenta(si ce violenta, executat in ziua de Craciun). Oamenii care au iesit in strada la Revolutie au avut cojones cat nu vom putea noi intelege vreodata. Au iesit din vointa proprie, nu i-a indemnat vreun primar, vreun sef de galerie, samd.

The Romanian Revolution was one of the greatest achieve of the romanian people. We fought for our freedom and ended the tyranny of Ceaușescu. It will be remembered forever in our history, and I am proud to say that I am romanian. Glorie Romania!
