I have tried many different types of gear thru the years. Nothing compares to Mosko Moto gear as far as quality goes. All there bags are second to none. That goes for there apparel also. Sure they are at the higher end on price point but for what you get they are cheap. There equipment will last you a lifetime. Also there customer service is beyond excellent! They will take care of you no matter what the circumstance is. You will not find better gear or service from any company anywhere. No I don't work for Mosko Moto but I believe in there gear and there company. Don't ever hesitate to buy anything from Mosko Moto.

C'mon man... your title is "Do NOT Buy" then you go on to call the product bulletproof yada yada yada... your title is misleading since the video is more of a type of commentary. "It's kind of bulletproof for a tank bag..." for an item that lives on your bike all the time is that not the gold standard? I'm not a fanboy for anyone, and am critical in all my purchases... and can honestly say that anything I have ever purchased from Mosko is TOP NOTCH. If you don't have the money cool... if you're too lazy to put the rain fly on and you want to scuba dive with it cool (I ride in the Pacific NW and never use it and have had zero probs btw) ... if you're one of the 1 out of 100 people that carries a drone or 35mm lens from the 80's cool... but do not make a "Do NOT Buy" video for something that is perfect for many riders. Organization for all the little critical items, not having a hydration pack on your back, and a bulletproof product is what many of us were looking for when we bought it. -John (Mosko send me a T-shirt lol)

How to waterproof your Nomax Bag:

Spray Either Silicone Spray on it or you can Spray Heavy Sctoch Starch on it. We used both in the US Military to waterproof our gear. Silicone in zippers for sure, even lithium grease on zippers. Hope this helps.

I see your points of view, and its all personally preference of use, but i love my Nomad bag ! Carries so much stuff its amazing, all organized aswell, its like a EDC bag for motorcycles, turns into a backpack aswell, no regrets buying this bag !

Well thought out and delivered! Click bait title lol, I came here ready to argue the point with you but I honestly can't disagree with your points. I went with a bigger bag but have just recently changed to the Nomax because of the organization. Sorting through the larger tub type was getting annoying and I found I was putting crap in there I really do not need. The smaller size and ability to unhook so easily was a major reason for my purchase! Great video.

Yes, I agree with many of the points mentioned. And with soo many layers and pockets, people forget that this also takes space. Quality wise, they are the best (I have the 40 liter bags). But it is very small for the price.

I have the newer model. Not sure if is bigger, but i fit the next things: Fuji x-s10 and 70-300, 18-55 and 25 mm lenses. DJI osmo action, insta 360 camera. plus cables and extra batteries for everything. Also bike documents, suncream, sunglasses, flashlight, pen, wipes for the visor. powerbank. and charger for batteries, knife pocket and sd cards. NOW! it gets pretty hard to close it at times if everything is not set just right, gets to a point is not confy to open it and close it, is not fast if you want to have a quick picture and forget about the water bladder. biggest fail to me.. is not waterproof at all... yeah... you have the raincover... but.... still water is going to soak the bigger pocket from below ( is where the expesive stuff is going).

Hope this help.

Spot on I agree 100%. great for carrying wallet & glasses flashlight etc, If I dont have anything else in it I can get my Canon DSLR and compact lens in it but it leaves hardly no room for anything else, the rain cover does seem to do its job quite well. I like Nomad but not sure if I would but it again there is a lot less room in it than I expected

Quite a spin....I truly chose to watch this video to prove the Nomaxs' down points...I bought the Nomax last year....the only thing is the tip about the rain cover....I find I have to air it out after a good rain or lots of dew....Rain cover helps a lot....but be conscious of moisture....Still a 90+ rating on Mosko

After doing some research and watching your last video, I will be purchasing a Nomax when they become available. My main attraction is the hydration capability, which is greatly needed for me out here in the Southwest. It may have something to do with my medications, but I tend to dehydrate very fast. This will be my first tank bag so I'm going into this fresh and I do not intend on carrying anything bulky. I do also like the compartmentalized system of the Nomax and I didn't want a large compartment "junk drawer" like most of the tank bags out there. Though a waterproof system like a Giant Loop or Nelson Rigg would be nice, I can certainly deal with stopping to put on the rain cover.

Here I am, checking in a year later, after buying and quickly selling a mosko moto tank bag.
The thing drove me nuts. I avoided using it on rides cause it was such a PIA to try to find anything in.
I dont need that much crap in a tank bag. The zippers within zippers, pockets within pockets, 5 layers to dig thru? Once I tried it a couple times I got rid of it .

"Over engineered" "really well built" both apply to this tankbag.

I have to disagree one the camera point, I carry my canon m50 camera it’s lense the DJI Mavic air drone and the controller all in the lower portion of the nomad.
I do have to move the rain cover to the zipper on the top of the bottom portion zipper.
I also fit 2 spare DJI batteries in the next layer with 3 mesh type pockets with other things.
And yes I fill the water bladder and carry it in it’s holder ;)
Video should be up soon it’s about 4 th on the editing table lol.
Thanks for your thoughts on the Mosko tank bags
Cheers

I agree with your points, but I think it is closest to what I need (read: want) . Do you know of any tank bags that are fully waterproof by themselves and turn into a backpack?

Mine just came and boy this thing is heavy and over-built for what it is. I'd much prefer a lighter weight version with a larger main compartment. It's a nice bag but I'm not sure I'm keeping it. I wish someone made an adapter that you would mount on your tank that would allow you to then use any small backpack.

I think one thing that goes along with point 2 is the hydration pack. It's a cool selling feature and one of the reason I wanted to go for it, but at the end of the day it does chew up a lot of the available space in the bag. I'm still on the fence, I'm really interested in their future tank bags which take inspiration from fanny packs.

Problem with bigger tank bags is as soon as you start accelerating or going up an incline the bag will get in your way when standing.

So its expensive, small capacity & not waterproof are three reasons to not buy the tank bag & you made 7 minutes video on that, which is still good.

I disliked this video. The title literally says "Do NOT Buy The Mosko Moto Nomad & Nomax Tank Bag." It doesn't say three things to consider or even really offer significant nitpicks that the product page doesn't absolutely declare. It explicitly states to avoid the bag. Your reasons for avoiding it are that it is expensive (relative- all purpose built ADV gear is expensive), it is small (the website explicitly states this is a 7 liter bag), and that it isn't waterproof (which it never claims to be, but yet it is still water resistant and the cover works extremely well).

I absolutely despise content like this. There is nothing in this video that reflects anything someone couldn't get from the product page and the title is inflammatory clickbait. The seven minute runtime for the content is pretty difficult to stomach. This is akin to press reviews where they stand there and read the specs off on a bike and offer no insight into riding experience or ownership whatsoever. There just isn't room for content like this in a in the Road world.

Revise the title. Give your commentary while riding or during a ride. Walk the viewer through what exactly is an issue while you're using it. Have lots of footage. This just... looks like it's geared for clicks and not to improve the community. Good luck.

Nobody hunts mosko moto for price, the deal is the Nomax is meant to be an ADV/Offroad a big streetbike style bag. Big gets in the have a tailbag if your hauling a lot of got the Wolfman plastic waterproof tank bag and believe me you dont want stiff, the zipper takes 2 hands and you gotta fight it every mini purse inside holds maybe a deck of is so much wrong with the design Im amazed its a Wolfman never used it, and I cant sell it, nobody wants it.

Whooaa there sir, you may have just insulted Mosko nation. I have the Nomad, I agree with your assessment. Mosko makes decent gear, but so do a lot of others. I'm off of the MM koolaid now and am recovering.
