My name is Gary Gelch of Gelch & Associates, P.A. If you own an automobile in the state of Florida, you are required to carry personal injury protection insurance, otherwise known as PIP. This type of insurance will compensate you or pay your medical bills at 80%. In addition, if you sustained any wage loss, PIP will reimburse you at 60% of wage loss.

Now, PIP is very important because Florida is a no-fault state, so regardless of who causes the accident, you will always go through your own insurance company to get your bills paid and to get reimbursed your wage loss.

A recent new law was implemented a few years ago, which stated that if you are involved in an automobile accident, you must receive medical treatment within 14 days of the date of the accident. If you fail to get treatment within 14 days, then your personal injury protection insurance will not apply, and you'll be stuck with paying your medical bills out of your settlement proceeds.

If you have recently been involved in an automobile accident, don't wait. Give us a call now by dialing toll-free 866-780-4878. We handle all cases on a contingency fee basis, and we have no problem coming to your home, to the office, to the hospital or to your doctor's office if you're unable to come to our office to meet with us.
