I put soap in boiling water but it give gelly soap not like liquid soap??

I made a caustic soda, coconut oil soap but when tried to cut, it broke into pieces. So I tried to melt the soap pieces, but no change occured for about 15 minutes. Will it melt after keeping for some time?
