Seven came out that year also. I was in the theater for both of those films, and it was such a pleasure having my mind blown. Funny how both of them had Kevin Spacey .

However with respect to the ending of The Usual Suspects I figured it out because of one line. When Chaz Palmenteri says, "I'm smarter than you" I guessed the end. Obviously I wasn't 100% sure at the time, but it turned out I was. Even though I had thought of the ending it still sent chills all over me.
The ending for Seven was just so brutal.

When it first came out in theaters, some had contests if anyone could figure it out before the ending. Nobody won 😂

This is the most overrated twist ever. Now its a good movie, but the twist isnt earned at all. Compare with other twist movies, the audience is usually given clues to figure out the ending. The movie straight lies to you and at the end its like "just kidding". Its just like a " it was just a dream" ending.
