Perfect illustration of women’s liberation through the years. Catherine’s generation was conditioned to comply. They experienced career-ending consequences if they dared speak up for themselves. No one had their back.
Winona’s generation experienced much of the same. Men were still very much in control and even though there were more voices speaking up in defence of women, they weren’t loud enough yet to save a woman’s career.
We are so fortunate now to live in a time where women like Jenna can confidently set boundaries and help others do the same. Not only is she not being condemned for it, she is being applauded. A cause for celebration.
