Why 'Beetlejuice 2' Stars Winona Ryder & Jenna Ortega's Instant Bond Surprised Them

Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara are back for the sequel to their beloved 1988 film "Beetlejuice" and are joined by Jenna Ortega! Access Hollywood guest correspondent Emily Orozco spoke to Winona, Catherine and Jenna about the making of the movie. Winona shared how "wild, scary and emotional" it was to return to the set for another chapter after more than three decades, while Catherine recounted filming the famous "Day-O" scene in the original. Plus, Winona and Jenna gushed over their immediate bond on set and how they saw a lot of each other in themselves. "It was everything … I honestly don't even know how it happened, it's just, we had a moment on set, and it just started flowing," Jenna shared. "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" hits theaters on Sept. 6.

The idea was, no, no, no, you can’t load it up with Beetlejuice, that’ll kill it, ” Keaton said about his return. “I think the Beetlejuice character doesn’t drive the story as much as he did in the first one. He’s more part of the storyline in this one as opposed to the first one, which is a case of, this thing comes in and drives the movie a little bit.”
