I've carried a Kershaw Leek for about 3 years now, its the perfect pocketknife in my opinion. The narrow tip is useful for cleaning fingernails or doing some fine procedure that can't be done with a regular tip, opens easily, perfect size, can't feel it while wearing it, and it would even make a great little defensive knife.

I carry a heavy duty and light knife daily (and Helle fixed blade in my man purse) but needed something for the middle of the road, and looked for a very long time because it's a rather crowded highway. Eventually I realized this one is the Golden Ratio (4+3=7) and pulled the trigger (um, flipper) when I finally found the copper scales with CPM154 - I wanted the weight. A perfect 10 but for no sharpening choil, so only 9.75 🙂

I just bought 1 of these used. Had so much Loctite on the blade was stuck to the bronze washers. Third apart cleaned it all works like a new knife.

Good review. I have the rainbow model. Beautiful knife. It's my weekday carry knife for the office.

What I do is carry it in my left pocket at the top of my pocket. Hope that makes sense - I've been carrying knives this way pretty much since the beginning - I started off not knowing any better.

Definitely a nice utility knife! My wife has the gold plated Leek:) I really like this design myself and was contemplating at one point in time to collect all the variants. But some other knives came along and I never did lol! So many knives so little time. Thanks for sharing man!

I have a 1600ST (reverse serrated) and I love it. But I didnt do enough research and paid $70 for it locally. Even for that price though, it has been worth it.

I see you are left handed and relocated your pocket clip. Cool that the knife is made that way :)

$25? If you find a leek under $40 just buy it haha. Love the steel, its not an american steel but it is fantastic at getting sharp. Easy to sharpen and it takes a wicked edge. Not for heavy duty use its a little brittle and a thiner blade. Fantastic for light duty edc. If you due heavy work, have a second blade or carry something else. I carry three, this one for light duty, a 154cm blade for heavy duty, and a tactical folder for last ditch self defense.

Yes I wear the knife clipped to my pocket - tip up. At the top of my pocket so the blade snugs against the seam of the pocket and doesn't open up accidentally. I can make a video at some point, I'll try to do that sooner than later.

@chrisw40 Very cool man, thanks for watchin. You are right - looks like the price is closer to the $30-40 range than 20-30. Either way still a good buy, it's a nice knife and made in the USA.

I am sorry to hear that although I agree that it is a very nice knife. Enjoy your new blade and carry it in good health.

@MrEvan55 just send it back to kershaw. They have great service. If you tend to do hard use on your knives then the leek isn't probably the best option. Id suggest a kershaw skyline. It'll hold up to harder use better and kershaw's warranty system will allow you to exchange it for a blade of equal price

Walmart doesn't sell these... walmart only sells that gerber garbage. But they do make a 24 karat gold version of this knife. I have a black stonewash looks very nice

@perspicacity89 Absolutely. I've taken to use my folders in place of a paring knife - it's good for testing and I get to use some of my favorite folders a little more. :)
