Og duke was the first "connection" between me and halo, so it has a special place in my hearth 😁 i have long fingers, so i found it quite comfortable, but i liked a lot also the smaller version.

Hyperkin is now the modern day Madcatz, what Madcatz was to gamers in the late 90s to mid 2000s is now what Hyperkin is now for current era.... that being said I am definitely getting one of these! I loved the OG Xbox controllers and not because im a fanboy but because that controller fit my hand so well

Yeah you guys over in the us can get it for quiet cheap. In germany it costs 130 to 180 Euros. (you can almost convert it 1:1 with USD) I imported mine with MyUS as it was simply cheaper and i only had to pay around 110 bucks instead of wtf else everyone over over here wants.

I'm thinking of buying this controller for both novelty and utility. I do quite a bit of gaming on my computer via emulators, and it would be nice to have a dedicated controller instead of always reappropriating my existing Xbox Series X/Xbox One controller for the task. The problem is that I live in Canada, and the Hyperkin Store does not ship internationally. Amazon has a listing for it, but it's also more expensive than Hyperkin's listing.

I'm still waiting on the Duchess. I have more fond memories of the Controller S than the Duke. That it will have Hall Effect joysticks is a plus.

they need to redo it with a functional screen that allows for button remapping & with customizable pic & remappable buttons and hall effect sticks.

I beg to differ, you don’t need to play competitive with paddles or extra buttons.. most ppl like casual but I do understand what you’re saying for 90 dollars it is a bit much. But for a discount of 50 for which I got is amazing.

Great review! Mainly just wanted info on the controller before I buy it to use as a new Xbox original controller with a usb converter. Hopefully it works 🤘🏻

Basically this controller is a newborn baby. Not kidding.
But besides as a collection piece, it does fairly well in fighting games. As well as single player first person shooters. I’ve used it with Doom (2016) and UFC 3 so far. But I also tried to use it on Halo: Infinite. For the campaign, not bad. But for the multiplayer, don’t even try it. I also tried to use it on Forza, and it’s… okay. It’s not great, but it’s OK. For racing games and driving games, I would probably suggest just using a standard controller for the current or last generation. But if you want to experience nostalgia with a good solo campaign on a first person shooter or a one-on-one fighting game, this might be a decent choice for you.
