Great video - I have a couple of the sims on your list and I think that I agree with your findings (I am a beginner with only about 6-8 hrs practice so far - really just starting out...)

I could not believe how hard Liftoff felt the very first time. I thought something must be wrong with it, etc... nope it was just me.

It has given me a much deeper respect for the people that can fly these things. It might be easy for some, for me it is truly difficult and I am learning very slowly. Great video, thanks for all of the info it truly is helpful.

You can pick up DRL for really cheap, it goes on sale all the time. But if you do you should just go into Freestyle mode and follow along with a YouTube series that teaches you how to fly. You can still follow along and train the concepts even if they use a different similator.

The tutorials were extremely rigid, and being reset every 4 seconds for the slightest mistake without learning correction or recovery was counterproductive. I started learning much faster once I got off those tutorials.

Hey buddy nice information, i am looking for a sim in which i can do practice with stick mode 3. Can you please help me out? I purchased lift off but its of no use now to me as I'm stick mode 3 pilot and liftoff has no options to switch stick modes 😢

I'd pretty much agree with your choices, a worthy addition would be the free FPV.Skydive but also to add the the DJI FPV drone is included in the Velocidrone Freestyle add on.

Nice video, i have most of these sims and they all have their pros and cons, the best would be a combination of TRYP and Uncrashed.

Great overview and info on these sims. How close do you think the top 3 are to each other? I have liftoff and DRL, I LOVE the DRL sim, many of the tracks have a kind of surreal, fantasy vibe to them which I think is super cool.

Liftoff was my first sim and for the first hour or 2 i was convinced that something was wrong with it - nope, turns out there was something wrong with me... taught me a bunch of lessons and I am glad that I have it.

I also have a sim called DCL or "Drone Champions League" and I also like that one a bunch. I like it more for the variety of tracks and once again, it also has a kind of surreal fantasy feel on some tracks... This one does not feel as realistic as the other 2 though, but it is still fun and "playable" - some of this could for sure be on me not knowing how to adjust, setup, tune a quad.

If I had to pick one - DRL. Fun as heck to fly, lots of tracks, etc. But if i had to pick one to truly help me improve my skills on a drone in the real world, then Liftoff.

Oops - I just saw that I have made a post on this video about a month ago - but this post is a little different so I guess I will leave it. Cheers!

Great content. Have a 100hrs in liftoff, and still cannot do turns and gates properly :) as you say the floaty gravity. Will try uncrashed when it has a steam sale

Are you able to share some of the main settings you use for Uncrashed on say a 5" drone for example (weight, motors, gravity air drag and those sort of things). I just bought the game, and even though Ive increased the gravity and tried a few settings, it seems rather floaty. Thanks!

Velocidrone all day! Why would I choose worse physics?!
Velocidrone has "level" maps to learn racing fast and "velocidrone flight training" a big playlist with tutorials on youtube

Do any of these simulator have tutorials on how to do tricks?

You should give AI Drone Sim a go. By far the best physics in my opinion

I'm missing a bit information about compatibility to computers, which are not optimized for gaming (except 2 mentions in Uncrashed and Velocidrone). Not everyone who wants to start fpv by practicing with a sim is coming from the gaming scene. E.g. I got two Dell notebooks with quite good processor and memory, but the graphics cards are office standard and not really for gamers: "Intel UHD Graphics 620" and "NVIDIA NVS 5200M".
Trying the "DRL Simulator" even with lowest quality settings is quite bad: Always a red warning like "LOW FPS - PLEASE REDUCE QUALITY 25 fps" while the GPU always does 100%. - Buying this sim was quite a waste of money for me.
"VelociDrone" and "Tiny Whoop Go" both can cope with these standard graphics cards pretty good and the GPU doesn't need more than 80%.
Don't know about other simulators so far...
Does anyone know about "TRYP FPV", "Liftoff" and "Liftoff MicroDrones"?
