I am amazed and even delighted by these highly imaginative and even fantastic theories of everything.  Some are highly flawed and some are greatly "correct" in that they behave according to the presently accepted academic models.  I think what gets my goat is that some of these great men with such great minds are personally affronted by anything that goes against or challenges their tightly held and long protected notions and preconceptions.  I suppose this is the nature of physicists who have had their Ph.D.s for over ten years and are possibly afraid they might lose some respected status.  This used to be the case where new thinkers were punished and even driven to their graves by their theories, many of them became virtually axioimatic and changed the very course of science and of human reasoning.  But I hope that is not the case anymore.  Seeing Dr. Barr and some of his colleagues I fear we have not advanced far enough for acceptance, grace and appreciation of athe genius of dreams and the preciousness of the humans who dream them.  Thank you.
