8 Benefits of being a highly sensitive person | HSP Part 3. Get ready to feel the love today! I share 8 reasons why being highly sensitive ROCKS. I actually had to narrow them down for this video, because it would have become too long otherwise. When you really think about it, being a highly senstive person can be an amazing gift.

I am still learning to embrace my sensitivity, instead of hiding it away and crossing my own boundaries. It’s easy to talk down to ourselves, to focus on the negatives. Sometimes we feel that as a highly sensitive person, we are almost doomed to struggle. We think why can’t i be like other people, why are things so difficult for me sometimes. We can even start to dislike our sensitive nature, which means disliking a big part of who we are. And these thoughts don’t make us feel very good.

But our sensitivity can also be a huge blessing. And in this video I want us to talk about our sensitivity from this point of view, of all the benefits it has for us. If you want to share your story please go ahead in the comments section below.

Thank you always and with lots of love,
♥ Vera

When I was growing up, beautiful art would often make me cry! Now I am a full time art teacher 💕

I love this series, it fits me perfectly and makes me feel less ‘strange’ 😁. I tend to go over things in my head that have already happened and wish I hadn’t said something that I blurted out, or that I had said something I forced myself to keep quiet about. I seem to fluctuate between extremes of saying things out loud with no filter, or deliberately keeping quiet because I don’t want the aggravation. I’m useless at small talk and sometimes just want to tell someone who’s talking rubbish to shut up, but of course don’t because I wouldn’t be so rude. Small talk is an absolute torture for me which means that I tend to avoid people if I can, but when I meet up with like-minded people and can have a good conversation I thrive. Thank you for such great content Vera 💐

I'm just getting around to this playlist on HSP's -- thank you, Vera :) I am finding more community and reassurance in my HSP traits. I am a pet sitter who works with various types of pets in different settings (dog park, homes, neighborhoods, etc.), and this can be very personal for pet owners. Being an HSP has helped me thrive in this type of occupation to appease pet parents and troubleshoot as necessary. I do believe there is a right place for every HSP.

Part 4 of the HSP series will be a HSP Q&A video! 🌿 Have any questions you’d like to submit? Please jot ‘em down here! 👇They can be personal questions about something in your own situation, or about how I handle certain things, or about HSP in general.

I’m really impressed by our lovely community so far, and you’ve also shared some really valuable insights. So let’s keep that going and help each other out! 🤗✌🌼

Thank you for including the "conscientiousness" blooper section. This is a word I don't always get the first time I try to say it. It warmed my heart to see this very real moment. Thanks for your HSP and minimalism content :).

Thank you so much for this, I have been going through some things lately and being a HSP everything seemed so much more intense than it did to my partner so thank you for the reminder thats its okay to be who I am <3

I always thought I was damaged, and that was why the sensitivity was there. I am learning differently. Loud sounds would make me crazy. I had to take the attitude of dog barking and decide it was ok, as to change my mind about it. That was my salvation.

I can’t believe it took me 27 years to discover that I’m an HSP! Wild. Mindful meditation has been a tremendous help for me over the last few years and now I can make the connection as to why!

I love this list. I’ve always felt like an observer of life, sometimes to the point of forgetting to participate! But self-reflection and journaling have helped me so much.

What are some things/habits that help you to self reflect or become aware of the problems/flaws in your life? That can be a Q&A question. For me it’s journaling and talking to a very close friend.

I am loving this series! You are doing such great work! 👌😍❤️

I've come to know that I am a higly sensitive person about two years ago. Life has often been challenging due to feeling overwhelmed or having anxiety. I've been looking up a lot of information to be able to cope with this. But above all, trying to enjoy my life as much as possible. Thank you for this video! It was very informative. You've got yourself a new subscriber. Lots of love!

A great video Vera. I always appreciate how you frame and reframe differences from frailties to strengths. Never judgmental towards others or ourselves. You have a unique talent for expressing appreciation for and valuing differences. Your talent shows up in your disclaimers and throughout you videos. I had a sweet little chuckle and a nod of empathy as you attempted “consciousness”. Keeping this little blooper in your video added authenticity to your message. Keep doing what you love as your channel grows and I will keep sharing with my network.

Greetings Vera,

I normally don't comment on YouTube videos, but I really love this series. Thank you for making them for people like me :).

P.S. On a completely different note, I noticed that you have changed a lot of your thumbnails recently. I find them very similar to two of the recent thumbnails of another channel I follow. Just wanted to mention it since I personally think it would be good to create a unique style that is your own to differentiate your channel from other similar channels.

Much love,

Cassie

I'm HSP but with childhood trauma issues. #5, I have a wounded ability to connect with others. CPTSD put a twist on HSP.
