Heyo! Mitch and Day here 👋🏼

We’re just your typical American-Colombian couple determined to live every second of our precious time here on earth to the fullest. After a 10-month solo backpacking trip through South America, I (Mitch) stopped in Cali, Colombia to take salsa dancing classes 💃🏻. I only planned to stay for a couple weeks, but God had other plans for me. I met a cute Colombian girl (Day) in class, those couple weeks turned into a couple years, and before we knew it...we were married 👰🏻🤵🏼

Now we’re traveling the world full time as digital nomads, supporting ourselves by working online 👨‍💻👩‍💻

Our goal with these videos is to inspire you to step outside your comfort zone, give you an inside peek at our crazy imperfect lives, and show you that you don’t have to be rich to live an extraordinary life...all you need to do is make the choice!

I decided to go with a carryon backpack and a 25L day backpack which I wear on my front when I have both. I went with PackSafe for the peace of mind w/all their security features. It’s more to lug around BUT so far it’s worth the extra space for me bc I hike a lot so having hiking boots plus a pair of running shoes (bc I’m also an avid runner) that I can second as a daily shoe was super important. This also allowed me to put my heaviest items (for me that was my laptop and my toiletry bag) in my personal item bag which they don’t usually weigh. I wear my hiking boots bc they also weigh more and this way I have more space in my carryon. One item I didn’t pack but wish I had is laundry detergent sheets which I thought would be easier to find once I got abroad but so far not so much and I don’t want to buy a big liquid jug or even a big powder jug for obvious reasons so I’m still trying to figure that out. Open to suggestions.

Thanks Mitch, great video. 👍
Exactly what I've always said, pack only the things you really need. Even in the remote corners of Africa or Asia, I've always found a shop that had the bare essentials for daily needs...

Sure, for travelling with one-bag only you will have to make some sacrifices. But for me a big reason to follow it is that some airlines have gone crazy mad and you have to pay 30$ extra to be able to carry 2 bags one-way (sometimes called "priority"). 2 ways would be 60$... It may seem like a low price to pay, but 60$ sometimes is the price of another flight, which for me I prefer not to pay if I can avoid it. Cheers.
